“Set your gaze on the path before you. With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions. Watch where you’re going! Stick to the path of truth, and the road will be safe and smooth before you. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked for even a moment or take the detour that leads to darkness.”
This is a call to discipline and to commitment to the work the Lord has called us to do. So much is vying for our attention -- so much is pulling on us that would get us distracted and off task, stepping away from the work the Lord has called us to do. Some of the distractions are not bad things. Some are even good things -- just not the right thing. I have felt for myself and I feel I’m supposed to share with you - this is a season to be laser focused and very disciplined in doing what the Lord has called us to do. I believe we are in a time of acceleration for those who are operating in the purposes of the Lord. And if we allow ourselves to be distracted, we may miss out on making great advances that the Lord has for us that will position us strategically and powerfully in places we couldn’t have gotten without His hand. We don’t have time for distractions, so don’t get pulled off course. Stay close to the Lord and stay busy about your Father’s business.
