#130 Readout on Special Session on Crime Part 1 of 2

“Yahweh, you alone are my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. You hold my destiny and its timing in your hands. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you! The way you counsel me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment.”

This Psalm is called the Golden Secret, and it speaks of the divine nature that is engraved in our hearts by the Word of God. AW Tozer famously said that what you think about God is the most important thing about you. There’s a powerful prophet from TX named Bobby Conner, he talks about our essential need to know who we are and whose we are. In order to be able to do the work God has called us to do effectively and without hesitation, we have to have a right view of self -- and that comes from knowing and receiving who God says we are. And we have to have a right view of God -- He’s a good Father, He’s our Savior, Healer, Redeemer and King. He’s much much more than that. If you are struggling in any part of your life, let me encourage you -- Go to the Lord and ask Him to help you get these two things aligned with Him and His Word. Our identity and our view of God are the essential issues that can be found at the root of almost every problem and struggle we face. When we get these right, there’s nothing that can stop us.
