“Don’t envy the wealth of the wicked or crave their company. For they’re obsessed with causing trouble and their conversations are corrupt. Wise people are builders — they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure. Because of their skilled leadership, the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth. Wisdom can make anyone into a mighty warrior, and revelation-knowledge increases strength. Wise strategy is necessary to wage war, and with many astute advisers you’ll see the path to victory more clearly.”
It’s so important for us to keep our eyes on the work the Lord has given us. Why should we envy anything about the lives of the wicked? You know I often find myself in conversations where we are envious that many truly wicked people never get shadow banned off of facebook, and they seem to get promotions and business deals wherever they go. But the truth is, we don’t envy their lives or the state of their heart and conscience. We are much better off to focus on what the Lord has called us to build. He has called us to be leaders, builders, wise strategists and warriors.
