#351 NOLA's Budget Woes & Adjusting the Balance of Power in Baton Rouge w/ Paul Hurd

”God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest. The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.“

Isn’t it amazing that this is a truth pretty universally acknowledged - that the way you operate and how you treat others will come back to you -- maybe not right away, but they will catch up to you sooner or later. And as we look at the unrest and the state of our communities, state and nation - we can see that seeds of self-life have produced a harvest of corruption to the great detriment of the people that could be reaping the fruit of a beautiful harvest. It can be overwhelming to look at, but the Lord can turn it around. I have three prayer points for us this morning: 1) Lord, first I along with my brothers and sisters repent for any part we had in sowing corrupt seeds in our own personal lives or in our communities, states and nation by way of knowingly or unknowingly supporting corrupt candidates and leaders or by our silence 2) Lord we ask You to bring the full measure of justice to those who abused power and are causing us to reap these overwhelming harvests of corruption 3) Lord, we ask You to bring a cleansing along with this exposure we see and to raise up righteous leaders who will be true Christ-like servants to the people.
