#350 The Pipe Bomber, Russia Gate, RICO Grande & More w/ Joe Hoft

This is a prophecy about Jesus in Isaiah that Matthew is quoting. He’s  pointing to it, and he’s explaining how Jesus was the fulfillment of that prophecy in the surrounding verses. So I encourage you to read those - it’s about performing healing miracles on the Sabbath.

”Take a careful look at my servant, my chosen one. I love him dearly and I find all my delight in him. I will breathe my Spirit upon him and he will decree justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or raise his voice in public. He won’t brush aside the bruised and broken. He will be gentle with the weak and feeble, until his victory releases justice. And the fame of his name will birth hope among the people.“

I’ve talked to a number of people this week who agree that the spiritual warfare specifically his week is at a fever pitch. Several prophets have been encouraging us to ramp up both prayer and praise this week, so we can overcome the plans of the enemy. As I look at the news and social media, it’s undeniable that the enemy is working overtime to divide the coalition of people who have united under the banner of saving the nation. So I think the Lord brought me to this scripture this morning as a reminder. As Christians, as people who bear the name of Christ, we are to look like Him. And this is what He looked like - He will decree justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or raise his voice in public. He won’t brush aside the bruised and broken. He will be gentle with the weak and feeble until His victory releases justice. And the fame of His name will birth hope among the people. Let’s use this as our model in the midst of the storm and the spiritual battles we find ourselves in. It is more important to be like Jesus and to reflect the person and the name of Jesus honorably than it is to be right. Remember that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. But they are mighty for the taking down of strongholds. We don’t war like the world wars. We war with prayer, with worship, with kindness. We shift the atmosphere around us with declarations of scripture and with decrees that dismantle evil and tear down wickedness in high places. Let me encourage us all today not to partner with the enemy by speaking words of division or failure. Take those fears and that anxiety to the Lord in prayer. Praise until your attitude and mindset shifts. Turn the tv off. Put the phone down and go outside and reconnect with God and His Creation. Yes, we are under attack, but we have to fight back with the spiritual weapons that the Lord has given us. I believe the tide of the battle is turning but we have to get our weapons, our armor and focus right if we want to see the victory.
