Matthew 4:16-17

”You who spend your days shrouded in darkness can now say, “We have seen a brilliant Light.” And those who live in the dark shadow land of death can now say, “The Dawning Light arises on us.” From that time on Jesus began to proclaim his message with these words: “Keep turning away from your sins and come back to God, for heaven’s kingdom realm is now accessible.”“

The message of Jesus rings just as true today as it did when He walked the Earth. He is our brilliant light that shines through the darkness. He is the one who takes us from the darkness of our souls into His glorious light. He came to give us access to His Kingdom -- through the offering of His life in our place. Through His death, burial and resurrection, His victory over our sin, sickness and disease -- we don’t have to live in the darkness of sin any longer. And we don’t have to live in the darkness of separation from God and vibrant spiritual life any longer. He is the light who has broken through our darkness. We just have to walk toward Him to be in the light.
