#310 2025 Legislative Wrap-Up Part 2

Colossians 2:8-10

”Beware that no one distracts you or intimidates you in their attempt to lead you away from Christ’s fullness by pretending to be full of wisdom when they’re filled with endless arguments of human logic. For they operate with humanistic and clouded judgments based on the mindset of this world system, and not the anointed truths of the Anointed One. For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe!“

It’s so easy to get caught up in the opinions of others -- particularly when it comes to world events that are happening, politics and conflict and war. But if we listen, when we listen, we need to do so with ears of discernment. We know a lot of these people are paid handsomely to lie to us and throw us off course. We know a lot of these people just speak without any insight into what is really going on in either the physical or spiritual world. Before allowing ourselves to get drawn into reactivity, before allowing ourselves to agree with the point of view of a TV or radio personality or a politician or even an amateur analyst -- ask Holy Spirit for His insight. He is the Source of all truth and He leads us into all truth. Polar opinions seem to be making their mark right now - and the choice between two sides is a false one - you don’t have to choose this side or that side. Choose the side of the Lord. Listen to His voice. You’ll find it’s the only one that doesn’t stress you out. He is the God of peace. And we have access to His mind, His perspective and His thoughts if He lives in us.
