”The Lord arises to contend, And stands to judge the people. The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses. What do you mean by crushing My people And grinding the face of the poor?” Declares the Lord God of hosts.“
The Lord will not allow wicked officials who hurt his people to remain in power forever. Those who steal from the people, oppress the people with unrighteous, burdensome laws and do not do right by them -- He will judge. And I believe we are nearing those days of judgement from top to bottom in this nation. Louisiana will not be an exception to that. So those who are in positions of power, those who make choices on behalf of the people should examine themselves, their motives and their actions and make any needed apologies and course corrections before the Lord does it for them. The Lord is very clear that He deals more harshly with those who are rulers and teachers than those who are not in positions of power or knowledge. And He is also very clear that He will be gracious to those who are humble but He will humble the arrogant.
