#301 LA’s Overdetention Problem & the Week Ahead

”If your heart is right, favor flows from the Lord, but a devious heart invites his condemnation. You can’t expect success by doing what’s wrong. But the lives of his lovers are deeply rooted and firmly planted.“

The Lord’s favor flows to those whose hearts and intentions are pure. There’s something so valuable to the Lord about a pure and teachable heart. Those are the ones who will enjoy His favor and remain connected to Him even when difficulties in life come. And this passage says that a devious heart invites His condemnation. But that’s not something that the lovers of God need to fear -- as long as we are keep inviting Him to search our hearts and motives, and we respond appropriately when He corrects us. Paul reiterates this point in chapters 7-8 of Romans -- he says, now my renewed mind is fixed on and submitted to God’s righteous principles. So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life union with Jesus, the Anointed One.
