”How could we ever thank God enough for all the wonderful joy that we feel before our God because of you? Every night and day we sincerely and fervently pray that we may see you face-to-face and furnish you with whatever may be lacking in your faith.“
This is a picture of what should be in the heart of all believers toward our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Lord has given us each other as a gift. So we can walk together, grow together, learn together and strengthen one another as iron sharpens iron. In this passage Paul spoke of longing to be with those in the body of believers in Thessaloniki so that he could furnish them with whatever may be lacking in their faith. So we are to encourage each other in the faith and help each other in our areas of doubt and weakness. In Malachi 3:16 it that says that when believers get together and talk about the Lord, He takes notice of it and writes it all down in His book of remembrance. Isn’t that amazing? That’s how much it matters to Him that build one another up in our faith.
