#248 Positioning Louisiana for Growth w/ Sen. Thomas Pressly

”Then, like a shepherd leading his sheep, God led his people out of tyranny, guiding them through the wilderness like a flock. Safely and carefully God led them out, with nothing to fear. But their enemies he led into the sea. He took care of them there once and for all! Eventually God brought his people to the Holy Land, to a land of hills that he had prepared for them. He drove out and scattered all the peoples occupying the land, staking out an inheritance, a portion for each of Israel’s tribes. Yet for all of this, they still rebelled and refused to follow his ways, provoking to anger the God Most High.“

This whole chapter is a strong word of warning to us right now, and I encourage everyone to read Psalm 78 in its entirety. What struck me about it was how it parallels where we are as a nation right now. And the lesson is that complacency and a lukewarm relationship with the Lord have no place in us if we want to continue to advance in the victory the Lord has brought us. He has rescued us from the grip of tyranny. And our role is to continue to truth in Him, continue to walk with Him, continue to be obedient and faithful to Him come what may. Let’s not be like the Israelites of Exodus and Deuteronomy who continually forgot the goodness of God, continually forgot His miracles and rebelled against Him to their own destruction. We are at a moment when it’s imperative to choose faith and to remain steadfast in our love for the Lord.
