Let me speak this passage over you as a prayer.
”Since we first heard about you, we’ve kept you always in our prayers that you would receive the perfect knowledge of God’s pleasure over your lives, making you reservoirs of every kind of wisdom and spiritual understanding. We pray that you would walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing you do. Then you’ll become fruit-bearing branches, yielding to his life, and maturing in the rich experience of knowing God in his fullness! And we pray that you would be energized with all his explosive power from the realm of his magnificent glory, filling you with great hope.“
This is what the life of a believer should look like. We should be seen as reservoirs of every kind of wisdom and spiritual understanding. We should be known as people who walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing we do. We should be bearing the fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness & self-control - as we submit to the instruction and promptings of the Lord and grow in maturity. And the time we spend in His Presence should be energizing us with His explosive power and filling us with great hope. This is all available to us. It’s our inheritance as children of God. The access point is Presence -- as we worship, study and pursue the Kingdom of God and His heart. I hope this encourages you today to spend more time with the Lord, to prioritize in His Presence -- because that is the place where we become more like Him.
