”With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you’ve done for me? You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease. You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! You’re a God who makes things right, giving justice to the defenseless.“
What a beautiful expression of thankfulness to the Lord by King David. We have so much to be thankful for, so much to praise God for. Let’s not allow the stresses and drama and worries to crowd out our ability to see what God has done in our lives -- the prayers He’s answered, the pits he’s lifted us out of, the healing He has brought and His unending love and faithfulness to us. He is worthy of our praise. And keeping our mind and heart focused on His faithfulness and love will keep us out of despair. It will keep us in gratitude and praise. And that’s the healthy place from which we should work and fight in this spiritual war. That is the up higher place the Lord calls us to live.
