”On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.“
As we look at the state of our government, as we look at and wonder what in the world is going to happen this November with the election it can put us into a tailspin of anxiety and panic. So many of us are working as diligently as we can to make the elections in our state as free, fair, transparent and auditable as possible. Many days it feels like our concerns fall on deaf ears, and those who are in positions to actually do something treat us as peasants who just need to trust our betters. But we don’t need to trust in them. We need to trust in the Lord. Ephesians 6:13 says it this way - take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. We’re coming to a place pretty soon here where we will have to say, we have done everything we can do. Hear me when I say, that’s not now, We know there is plenty that can be done through Election Day even in the weeks that follow if necessary. But a time will come when all we can do is stand firm in our position, continue to speak the truth and trust the Lord. He will be our refuge, our salvation and our rest. I’m convinced of that.
