”So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.“
This passage is Paul praying for the early Ephesian church. He asks that the Lord would reveal His unlimited glory and favor that is within them. Because it is that revelation that allows us to tap into the supernatural strength and power of the Lord. It’s hard to wrap our minds around but the scripture also teaches us that the same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead lives in us - that’s the Holy Spirit. He goes on to say share another key for us in verse 17 - that it is the constant use of our faith that releases the life of Christ in us. We become more like Him, we tap into a greater measure of Jesus’s love and power and being when we walk in faith. So that’s my prayer for all of us today - that the Lord would bring us a greater revelation of His glory and favor within us and that we would discipline ourselves to walk by faith and not by sight.
