#150 A Spicy Recap & Look Ahead

”Listen to me, you elite among men: How long will you defame my honor and drag it down into shame? Will you ever stop insulting me? How long will you set your heart on shadows, chasing your lies and delusions? Pause in his presence May we never forget that Yahweh works wonders for every one of his devoted lovers. And this is how I know that he will answer my every prayer. Tremble in awe before the Lord, and do not sin against him. Be still upon your bed and search your heart before him. Pause in his presence“

This scripture is evidence that King Solomon was right in Ecclesiastes when he said that there’s nothing new under the sun. This passage was written by David when he was king ... And in it, he puts his own swamp on notice. Through his words we’re reminded that when insults come and those in positions of power insist on trading in lies and doing shady deals, we have nothing to fear. Because the Lord works wonders for every one of His devoted lovers. David strengthened himself in the truth of the Lord, by reminding himself of his history with the Lord. He knew then, and he’s encouraging us now -- that the Lord is faithful, and he will answer our every prayer as we remain pure before Him. He instructs us to daily search our own hearts and make sure that we’re living a lifestyle of daily repentance and pursuing holiness so that we are keeping a right relationship with the Lord.
